Labradors At Stud All our stud dogs have excellent field trial pedigrees, have clear eye certificates and good hip & elbow scores. We are now 'Optigen' testing all our stock and are probably the first and only breeders in Ireland to carry out this genetic test. In fact Copperbirch is probably the first known breeders in Ireland to produce an exceptionally well bred labrador with clear eyes 0:0 hips & elbows and 'Optigen' clear - "The Perfect Healthy Labrador". We only keep dogs that are capable of being trained to field trial standard. Some have already won field trial and working test awards and others are currently in field trial training.
