Copperbirch Labrador Pups
Copperbirch Labradors has carefully researched and developed a genetically studied line breeding programme, to produce the very best Labrador puppies. As we usually keep a puppy or two from each of our litters our aim is to breed Labrador puppies with the exceptional working and hunting capabilities required to Field Trial competitively.

However these clever Labrador puppies make beautiful, easily trained and loyal family pets, as well as field trial and working dogs.

Our dogs are also available for seeing eye, narcotics work, search and rescue.

We use only proven field trial lines, always with a view to achieving the lowest possible hip scores. We are now currently scoring all our young Labradors elbows (see health care section).

As Breeders of Champion Labradors we only breed from dogs with clear eye certificates and below average hip scores.

Copperbirch Labradors were probably the first labrador kennel in Ireland to genetically test all our breeding stock for both PRA and Labrador CNM Myopathy.

We will always ensure that at least one of the parents of a potential litter would be tested clear for PRA Progressive Retinal Atrophy & CNM Labrador Myopathy, therefore guaranteeing that none of our Labrador puppies will ever develop any of these two awful diseases.

Copperbirch Labrador puppies have found homes as far away as Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, France, Spain Italy, the Netherlands, the United States of America, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, India, Asia, South Africa, Russia and Australia.

Supervision
All our Labrador bitches are whelped in clinically clean and heated facilities and are under constant supervision via our CCTV system to ensure that we our on hand should any complications arise.

Medically Examined
Our Labrador puppies receive constant love, care and attention from the moment they are born. After birth they are weighed, cleaned and vet checked. Before leaving our kennels all our Labrador pups are 'Kennel Club registered', weaned, wormed, fleaed, vaccinated and micro-chipped and come with 4 weeks free insurance.

Daily Handling Programme
From Day 1 we implement a daily handling programme, which includes sound therapy - this develops into a daily play programme to ensure that our Labrador puppies are fully socialised, happy, confident and content before leaving us and going to their new homes. As a rule we do not allow our puppies to leave before they are 10 weeks old.
